Grächen is situated on a lively sun terrace in the Matterhorn valley at a height of 1620 with among other things pictoresque walking paths with man made water ways that originated 400 years ago, typical dark wood Walliser houses and colourful meadows that adorn this cosy mountain village.Here the population has remained ist original character even though they are very much involved in tourism.
